So, I’ve managed to sneak in another gig amongst the last remaining dates for this year. Malcom Slater, who is closely involved with the Gate to Southwell Festival, has invited me to do a 30-minute slot at his “Old Whistle Test” event, which runs in Southwell over the weekend of the 27th of October. The event is hosted by Bramley Live and starts on Saturday night with Becky & Dawn at 6pm on a Friday.
Then on Sunday 27th October – the big day begins at 1 pm and runs to 6 pm with a whole cavalcade of musicians. I will go across and meet up with an old university friend for lunch and spend the afternoon.
The event is entirely free and is hosted at the The Final Whistle Pub on 25 Station Road, Southwell, Newark-on-Trent NG25 0ET.
I should be on around 3 pm (although festival timings have a tendency to slip!)
