Today was a bit of end of an era, as I finally cleared out my colocation. I’ve almost got rid of everything except some Dell gear that they will pickup, and some HP servers that haven’t sold… Probably because they are bit long in the tooth…
Anyway, those servers – five of them are for sale for a grand starting price of £1. Basically, I just want rid of them… They currently in my spare bedroom stacked on top of each other. And given if there on sale for a £1 I won’t be travelling anywhere to drop them off. You like have to make your way to the to the beautiful British countryside and pick them up from my home (I live near Matlock, Derbyshire). But hey, at least you get to meet the great Mike Laverick in person… 🙂
Oh. and I will offer you a cup of tea as well…
Here’s a quick overview:
- ALL of them have 16GB of RAM.
- All have at least 1xQlogic FC-Card, although two servers have two Qlogic Cards.
- There are 4 Gps NICs available – two onboard, and dual-port card on the internal PCI Riser
- All have the HP ILO function enabled
- Two have the newer slimline SAS driver (small-form-factor), and have a SAS Controller on PCI Riser
- The remaining 3 have the old SCSI style drive connected to an onboard SMART RAID array
- Two of the servers have a warning about the battery for the controller cache needing replacing
- One server is fully populated with old style SCSI disks, but one as error message on it.
